Pawsome Paws Community

A Community Rooted in Everyday Kindness

This is a living space of care woven through steady efforts, neighborhood streets, and the many lives we meet along the way.

We are a small, evolving community tending to animals, mostly cats and dogs, through feeding, healing, rehoming, and simply showing up.

This space honors the kind of work that often goes unseen rooted in daily responsibilities, quiet devotion, and the belief that every life deserves tenderness and support.

Together with neighbors, kindhearted partners, and the animals themselves, we nurture small, dedicated efforts that grow slowly but meaningfully over time.

Being here means something. Every pair of eyes, every moment of care, helps carry this forward.

A Collective Act of Care

This work doesn’t happen alone.

It’s not just one person, or one act.
This work is carried by many, bit by bit, day by day.

Some prepare meals.

Some lend a cage or offer a ride. Some quietly feed strays outside their gate.

Some are vets, sari-sari store owners, neighbors, friends.
Some say, “Thank you.” And that helps more than they know.

This is how the care continues—through shared effort, through presence, through love that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt.

However you choose to show up, you’re already part of it.

Rooted in Compassion: Working Together with New Creation Animal Clinic

A shared commitment to accessible, consistent care for animals who need it most.

The Pawsion Program reflects the kind of work that quietly changes lives.Led by Dr. Jerald Camba and his dedicated team at New Creation Animal Clinic and Diagnostic Center, this initiative supports animals who are often overlooked—those in rescue care, on the streets, or in the homes of families doing their best with very little. We are grateful to walk alongside them in this effort.

What the Pawsion Program Makes Possible

What Shared Care Makes Possible

  • Free in-clinic spay and neuter for stray, rescued, and community animals—offered across all three of their branches.

  • Rehabilitation and medical care for animals in crisis, especially those who would not receive treatment otherwise.

  • Community outreach drives, like the one held in La Union in February 2024, where 50 cats were spayed through the efforts of the clinic, transport volunteers, local cat guardians, and quiet supporters behind the scenes.

This isn’t a one-time event or a single campaign.
It’s a long-term, humane approach built on shared responsibility—and deep care.

We believe that:

  • Care should be accessible, not selective

  • Animals deserve to be treated with dignity

  • No one should be left alone when help is possible

That’s why we call this Compassion in Action—because it is. Quietly. Consistently. And with heart.

Compassion in Action: Seen in Small Moments

A glimpse of what happens when a community comes together—with vets, rescuers, local government, sponsors, local businesses, and neighbors working side by side. From spay and neuter drives to recovery and quiet care

“Community Involvement is the noblest thing to do as we promote animal welfare and public health and strengthen the skills of these young people to become driven, motivated and compassionate veterinarians,”
- Dr. Jerald Camba of New Creation Animal Clinic

“Volunteerism is the act of showing love by serving. As a veterinary student, serving animals through volunteerism makes my heart flutter since it is a privilege for me to have this chance. Volunteerism is not just about serving animals or people; it can also bring joy, build self-confidence, and allow you to socialize outside your comfort zone. Of course, this can help improve or gain knowledge from different people with different skills.”

One Cat at a Time: A Glimpse into Our Work

Stories from the Ground

Everyday care, quiet effort, and shared moments of compassion—these are the stories we hold close. This is where we share what often goes unnoticed: early morning feedings, quiet conversations with neighbors, cats returning after surgery just a little lighter, and people offering what they can, when they can. Some are longtime rescuers. Others are simply passing through. But in their own way, each becomes part of the circle. It’s not about big numbers or grand gestures. It’s about showing up—one cat, one day, one shared ride at a time.

The Circle of Care

Everyday people, quiet helpers, and compassionate hands—this work is possible because of them. From neighbors to rescuers, drivers to donors, each one plays a part in holding this community together.

Benjie & Menchie: A Life Shared with Cats (& Dog!)

For years, Benjie and Menchie have quietly committed themselves to the care of stray and abandoned cats. Today, they look after a group of 41 spayed and neutered cats—feeding them daily, tending to medical needs, and offering a sense of stability that many of these animals have never known.

But their work doesn’t stop there. In Makati City, they collaborate with Ann to rescue and rehabilitate cats in need. Together, they help arrange adoptions, making sure rescued cats find homes where they’re not just safe—but loved. For those who cannot be adopted, they organize relocation efforts, securing safe and welcoming environments in places like San Fernando City, La Union.

Every cat under their care is part of something larger. Their quiet, consistent efforts are not just acts of charity—but of deep, enduring compassion. Through every meal, every recovery, and every rehoming, Benjie and Menchie continue to make space for animals to heal, grow, and begin again.

Urban Guardians: A Network of Care in Motion

In Makati, we respond to the immediacy of need with hands-on, day-to-day commitment. Feeding rounds begin early and end late—reaching cats tucked into alleyways, parked cars, rooftops, and behind market stalls. Beyond simply offering food, this work is about presence. It’s about showing up where others can’t—or won’t.

While the efforts are led by Ann through Mina’s Dream Space, they are deeply supported and carried out alongside Benjie and Menchie, who remain active on the ground. Their presence ensures continuity, especially when emergencies arise—whether it’s rescuing an injured cat, responding to a call from a concerned resident, or accompanying cats to and from vet appointments. They don’t just coordinate—they show up, feed, rescue, and transport, often at great personal cost.

To make the work sustainable, they’ve also built a small but trusted pool of local feeders—individuals they hire and train to assist with the growing number of cats under care. These feeders become part of the extended family, helping ensure that no area or animal is overlooked.

It’s a web of effort—woven together by trust, dedication, and the belief that even in the busiest parts of the city, every cat deserves to be seen, fed, and protected.

A Place to Heal in San Fernando City, La Union

In San Fernando City, La Union, our work moves with intention—quiet, grounded, and deeply present. Here, we offer what the urgency of the city cannot always provide: a chance to rest, to recover, and to be gently cared for.

Several rescued cats from Makati have been lovingly relocated to this space, away from danger and into a slower rhythm of life. In this home, they receive daily nourishment, medical attention when needed, and the time and peace to heal fully.

While the efforts here are not large-scale, they are powerful in impact. Through our collaboration with New Creation Animal Clinic and the PAWSION Program, we hold small but deeply meaningful Compassion in Action drives—focused on spay and neuter, feeding support, and wellness care for stray and indigent-owned cats in the area. These gatherings are rooted in presence, care, and sustainability.

We also offer free rehabilitation for cats needing longer recovery—whether from illness, surgery, or trauma—ensuring they are not only treated but truly given the space to return to wholeness.

What’s being built here is not a shelter—it is a sanctuary. One held together by quiet work, steady hands, and a love that chooses to stay.

This bridge between urban response and rural healing is made possible by people who choose to care, no matter the distance. At the center of it all is a shared truth: Compassion doesn’t belong to one place—it moves with us, from city to countryside, one life at a time.

The Freedom 4

From basement shadows to open skies, from the city to the countryside—four senior cats find peace and space to heal.

A second chance for four senior cats—and a quiet act of love that changed everything.

For years, Reiki, Ashta, Princess, and Dita lived in the shadows of a basement parking area in the city. Already spayed and neutered, they faced the ongoing threat of being removed by pest control—seen as a problem rather than lives to be protected.

Through the care and steady commitment of Menchie and Benjie, these four senior cats were gently brought out of that space and welcomed into a new beginning in La Union.

Here, they live under open skies, with fresh air, soft soil beneath their paws, and the comfort of daily care.

They are now known as the Freedom Four—named in honor of the quiet love that guided their journey toward safety.

While we may not be able to bring every animal home, their story reminds us why this work continues. Why we create space.
Why we believe in a future where stray cats are treated with care, respect, and a place to belong.

The Hands That Move With Us

Some walk with us through encouragement. Others through supplies, shared time, or simple trust. Each one plays a part in carrying the work forward— shaping moments of care, one gesture at a time. Together, they remind us that compassion moves through many hands, and that the heart of this work has always been shared.

Constant Partners & Ongoing Supporters

Behind every outreach and rescue are partners who continue to show up with care, resources, and trust. We continue to honor those who make long-term, grassroots work possible.

The Animal Drugstore

Grounded Care, Steady Support

Some support arrives not in noise, but in timing — and trust.
For our veterinary mission in Badoc, Ilocos Norte on May 30, 2025, it was The Animal Drugstore that showed up with both.

In partnership with New Creation Animal Clinic, this mission served rescued, stray, and indigent-owned cats through free spay and neuter services.

Dogs from the community also received care through anti-rabies vaccination and deworming — part of the wider medical outreach.

The Animal Drugstore provided vitamins for post-operative care and recovery — a thoughtful contribution that helped animals heal with more strength and ease. Behind this offering is a pharmacist for animals — someone who understands that grounded support, offered with sincerity, becomes part of long-term community care.

In grassroots work, what sustains us is presence, trust, and shared effort.

The Animal Drugstore continues to be part of that growing circle.

Carchimillican Animal
Health Corporation

Support that showed up from the very beginning.

Carchimillican Animal Health Corporation stood with us during our first community spay and neuter drive with New Creation Animal Clinic in 2024. Since then, they’ve continued to support our work—providing supplies, encouragement, and a steady presence through each step of this journey.

Their belief in the value of grassroots, community-led care has helped us feed, heal, and give animals the attention they deserve.

What they’ve offered goes beyond donations—it’s a form of partnership that allows the work to move forward with more stability and heart.

Carchimillican Animal Health Corporation is now part of this growing circle of care, and their presence continues to make a difference in ways both seen and deeply felt.

Mi Amore Pet Food

A partner in nourishing care.

Mi Amore Pet Food has been a consistent supporter of our mission to provide compassionate care to animals in need. Their commitment to producing high-quality, specially formulated pet food aligns with our values of ensuring the well-being of every animal we encounter.

Their contributions have helped us provide nutritious meals to cats, supporting their health and recovery. This partnership exemplifies how shared values, and dedication can come together to make a tangible difference in the lives of animals.

Mi Amore Pet Food continues to be an integral part of our community, demonstrating that collaboration and compassion go hand in hand in the journey toward better animal welfare.

Why Mi Amore Matters

Mi Amore wasn’t just built in a lab—it was born from experience, grief, and a promise to do better.

Years ago, the founders cared for a number of rescue cats who eventually passed due to kidney-related illnesses. They discovered how critical nutrition was, especially for vulnerable animals. That loss became the turning point: a resolve to create cat food that could help support kidney health, digestion, and overall wellbeing.

This is more than cat food, it’s a continuation of care. Today, their brand supports their own cats and extends to other community cats through outreach work and partnerships.

Here are some snapshots of their own bundle of rescues—living proof of their commitment.

The Work, As It Happens

Each update captures a step taken—toward care, connection, and community. These stories reflect the ongoing efforts that shape this work.

Compassion in Action: Sunday Care —
July 2025 Spay and Neuter for Cats

Throughout July 2025, the Pawsion Program by New Creation Animal Clinic in San Fernando City, La Union will be offering free spay and neuter services every Sunday — serving 10 cats each week.

These in-clinic sessions support rescued, stray, and community cats, with a special focus on those cared for by indigent households.

By the end of the month, an estimated 40 cats will receive essential surgical care. It’s a consistent effort to make preventive veterinary services more accessible — rooted in compassion and carried out week by week.

Mi Amore Cat Food Supports Community Cats, Rescuers & Spay/Neuter Missions

Through the Pawsion Program of New Creation Animal Clinic, Mi Amore Cat Food was extended not only to feline patients during free spay and neuter drives, but also to solo rescuers, community cats, and special needs cats under the clinic’s rehabilitation program. Rooted in purpose and compassion, this contribution supported both immediate care and ongoing nourishment — reaching identified communities and theconsistent efforts of those who show up for animals every day.

Sharing What We Have:
A Ripple of Community Effort

Earlier this year, we turned over a surplus of Nutripet supplements to the City Veterinary Office of San Fernando City, La Union. A total of 30 supplements were donated to support the care of impounded and community animals. Anti-Rabies awareness posters were also distributed to help reinforce education and prevention efforts at the barangay level.

We met with Dr. Flosie Panges, City Veterinarian, to explore the possibility of bringing accessible spay and neuter services to more communities. This vision is part of the ongoing work of the Pawsion Program of New Creation Animal Clinic, which focuses on free surgical services for rescued and indigent-owned cats.

Interns from DMMSU were also present during the visit, offering their time and energy in support of the cause.

This initiative—supported in part by Carchimillican Animal Health Corporation—reflects a shared commitment to community-based animal care. Through collaboration and the simple act of sharing what we have, we continue to build pathways for more inclusive and responsive support for animals and their guardians.

How It All Began

Pawsome Paws began in Dalumpinas Este, San Fernando City, La Union—where the growing presence of stray and abandoned cats called for a response. From kittens left behind to mother cats seeking shelter, the need was clear.

Many families in the community faced challenges accessing veterinary care. Spay and neuter services were unavailable, and basic support like vaccinations or deworming was often out of reach.

What started as everyday acts of care—feeding, transport to clinics, and rehoming—slowly shaped a grassroots effort. Friends and neighbors stepped in. Pet owners with compassion but limited means found allies. And little by little, a community-centered initiative began to form.

The name Pawsome Paws followed—born from lived experience and a desire to help animals in ways that were real, local, and grounded in connection. At the heart of this work is the belief that change begins in the places we live and with the people willing to show up.

From responding to the cat population in one barangay, the effort has expanded to collaborative outreach in Ilocos Norte, spay and neuter drives, and support for both rescued and community animals.

The work continues—not as a large-scale organization, but as a circle of care, growing through relationships, resourcefulness, and shared responsibility.

Where Care Meets Collaboration

If you're someone—an individual, clinic, or brand—who believes in grounded, community-led animal care, we’d love to connect. This work grows through shared effort. Whether you’re exploring ways to support, collaborate, or learn from the field— we welcome conversations that honor both heart and action.
